Every year Kolkata gets ready on the 3rd Sunday of December every year since 2014 to participate in the prestigious TSW25K. Every year thousands of participants run in various race categories of their choice, coming together to enjoy a day of sunshine, physical stimulation and above all a happiness that one feels on reaching the end line. The event also gives the participant and the NGOs alike to raise funds and contribute to the various cause that would lead to better lives and society.

This year, the event is taking place on 21st December 2025 i.e.on the third Sunday of the month. Inviting participants to be part of the prestigious TSW25K. Every year, thousands of runners join various race categories of their choice, coming together to enjoy a day of sunshine, physical activity, and, above all, the joy of crossing the finish line. The event also provides an opportunity for both participants and NGOs to raise funds and contribute to meaningful causes that aim to create better lives and a stronger society.

The Tata Steel World 25k, Kolkata scheduled on Sunday 21st December 2025, will be the 10th edition of the world’s premier 25k race, has become Eastern India’s premier distance running event since its inception in 2014. Celebrating its 10th edition in 2024, it is the world’s only 25 km race to be awarded the prestigious Gold Label by World Athletics. The race route takes runners past Kolkata’s most iconic landmarks — from the historic Raj Bhavan and Eden Gardens to the majestic Howrah Bridge and Victoria Memorial — culminating at the Red Road finish line. In 2024, over 20,000 participants took part across six race categories, with registrations closing ahead of the deadline due to overwhelming demand. Beyond sport, the TSW 25K has evolved into the largest philanthropic platform in Eastern and Northeastern India, raising over INR 4.68 crores through 75+ NGOs since 2014. It truly embodies the spirit of Kolkata — where fitness, community, and social change come together.
