Save The Children Committee (India) has been working since 1944 with a strong commitment to the welfare, care, education and development of underprivileged children. The organization was founded by distinguished personalities including Dr. Maitrayee Bose, Dr. Shyamaprasad Mukherjee, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, Dr. R. Ahmed, and many other dedicated social workers and well-wishers.
Today, the Committee continues this legacy by working for the betterment of children from underprivileged and disadvantaged backgrounds. We currently operate four units—two boys' units in Purba Medinipur, one boys' unit in North 24 Parganas, and one girls' unit in Kolkata.
Through these units, we are presently providing care, support, education and opportunities for a better future to approximately 350 children. Our continued efforts are guided by the belief that every child deserves a safe, caring environment and the opportunity to grow with dignity, confidence and hope.
Save The Children Home, Thakurpukur, Kolkata, a girls’ unit of Save The Children Committee (India), has been working towards providing underprivileged children with care, education, safety and opportunities for a better future.
At present, we are seeking financial support for the construction of a dedicated study room for the girls. A proper study room will provide the children with a quiet, safe and conducive environment where they can concentrate on their education, complete their schoolwork and develop their knowledge and skills.
We humbly appeal to generous individuals, institutions, corporates and well-wishers to extend their support towards this important initiative. Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference in the lives of these girls and help us create a better environment for their education and development.
We sincerely hope that you will come forward and support this cause. Your generous contribution can help us turn this much-needed study room into a reality and give these children a better opportunity to learn, grow and build a brighter future.
Help us raise funds for our specific needs.
