About Us

Established in 1994, SPADE is a Non-Profit Society dedicated to providing techno-managerial support services to stakeholders in the development sector. Since 2000, SPADE has focused on two primary themes: Institution Building (including SHGs, FPOs & Water User Groups) and Climate Risk Reduction (including Disaster Management, WaSH, SWM, Community Health, Green Energy, and Education). SPADE is renowned for its community mobilization, awareness promotion, capacity building, field facilitation, documentation, and policy advocacy. SPADE has collaborated with various UN Agencies (UNICEF, UNDP), INGOs (CARE, CARITAS, OXFAM, Water For People, IGSSS, Inchara Foundation, Penny Appeal, etc.), Government Departments (P&RDD, MoRDD, Women Development Undertaking, NABARD, NAFED, SUDA, West Bengal Swarojgar Corporation Limited, WRI&DD, Ministry of Jal Shakti- GoI), and corporate entities (ONGC, IOCL, TPCDT, Indorama, SDTT) across West
Bengal and Tripura.
