Poribes Foundation actively engaged in promoting education for underprivileged children in South 24 Parganas, where we run a school named Nibedita Sishu Siksha Niketan at Madhusudan Chak. Alongside this, I am also working on female health and hygiene initiatives, aiming to empower women and improve community well-being.
Menstrual Health Awareness and Education
Conduct continuous seminars and awareness programs in schools, colleges, and urban and rural communities to address the realities of menstruation and dispel myths and taboos associated with menstrual health.
Promote scientific knowledge and positive attitudes towards menstruation to create a more informed and supportive society.
Provide medical guidance, health check-ups, counseling, and referral support to help prevent and manage menstrual health complications among underprivileged women.
Offer non-medical assistance, including health education, hygiene awareness, and emotional support, to improve overall well-being during menstruation.
Ensure regular distribution of sanitary pads to underprivileged women and adolescent girls.
Improve access to safe and hygienic menstrual products, thereby promoting menstrual hygiene management and reducing health risks associated with inadequate menstrual care.
Project ObjectiveÂ
1.To build awareness in society and help break the taboos, myths, and stigma associated with menstruation.
2.To promote awareness of menstrual health and hygiene and ensure that maximum underprivileged women and girls have access to proper menstrual care, hygiene practices, and health education during their menstrual periods.
