Our Appeal

Holistic Education for the underprivileged children in Madurdaha region of Kolkata, West Bengal.

Although children regularly attend school, several structural barriers affect their learning outcomes. Limited exposure to functional English restricts comprehension, communication skills, and readiness for higher education or employment.

Additionally, many children live in overcrowded homes with limited study space and poor sanitation, which affects their ability to concentrate and maintain good health. As first-generation learners, they often lack opportunities to develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, and self-expression.

This project will address these challenges through academic support, English language development, and structured extracurricular activities that promote holistic child development.

The initiative will create a supportive learning ecosystem that nurtures both academic excellence and life skills, enabling children to grow into confident and capable individuals.

Key Objectives

• Improve the learning abilities of children from vulnerable communities in the Madurdaha
• Strengthen English language proficiency among all students to enhance academic and career
• Support children in creating a conducive learning environment at home through parental engagement and guidance.
• Foster confidence, teamwork, leadership, and self-expression through extracurricular activities, talent showcases, and community engagement.

Target Beneficiaries

Approximately 350 children in the age group of 3 to 16 years.
