I am a development professional and ultra runner passionate about combining physical fitness, sports, and social impact. My work focuses on supporting grassroots communities in Kolkata, especially children and women living in vulnerable urban slum communities. I believe sports and physical fitness can build resilience, confidence, discipline, and a sense of empowerment. Through my professional work and running journey, I aim to promote healthier lives while creating meaningful opportunities and positive change for underserved communities.
Beyond the Finish Line: Running for a Cause
Running has always been more than a sport for me. As an ultra runner, I have learned that every great journey begins with a single step. This year, I want every step to make a difference.
Through the Tata Steel World 25K (TSWK) Philanthropic Platform, I am proud to support Divine Script Society (DSS) Kolkata and its child development programme for children living in vulnerable slum communities.
As a development professional and a trainer of young runners, I have witnessed the transformative power of education, sport, and opportunity. I also have the privilege of training students from Haltu Kishalaya Siksha Sadan High School, where fourteen enthusiastic students are preparing to participate in the Tata Steel World 25K. Their determination inspires me to support their dreams and upliftment.
DSS Kolkata works to empower vulnerable children through education, healthcare, nutrition, wellbeing, and a nurturing environment. Your contribution, however small, can help create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and dream of a brighter future.
I will run the distance. You can help create the impact.
Together, let’s turn every kilometre into hope and every step into a better future for a child.
Run with purpose. Give with heart. Make every step count.
