Suryoday Trust is registered not for profit organization running a special school and a vocational skill training centre for underprivileged children and young adults with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). Our aim is to provide special education, therapies, vocational-skill training and employement opportunities. The institution is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for the children and young adults with ID who are often excluded from mainstream education, with the ultimate goal of equipping them to become self-sufficient members of society. Over the past 16 years, Suryoday Trust has transformed the lives of more than 350+ underprivileged children with Intellectual Disabilities by providing access to quality special education, therapies, vocational-skill development and holistic development.
Presently, the school and the vocational training centres operates from Vasai and Bhayandar (Mumbai,Maharashtra), catering to 150+ underprivileged children and young adults between the ages of 3 and 18+, each grappling with a unique range of disabilities ranging from intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, down syndrome and autism.
In addition, contributions will support the establishment of our dedicated Sensory – focused Centre for Autistic Children by funding essential capital expenses such as sensory equipment, therapy infrastructure, classroom setup, as well as operational costs including special educators, therapists, therapy materials, rent and day-to-day programme delivery expenses. Together, we can create pathways to education, employment and lifelong support, ensuring that every girl child and young woman have the opportunity to realise their full potential and lead a life of dignity, inclusion and hope.
