North Kolkata Runners (NKR) is one of the largest and most vibrant running communities in Eastern India, founded with the vision of promoting fitness, discipline, and camaraderie through running. With multiple clans training across Kolkata, NKR provides structured sessions ranging from warm-ups and HIIT to long-distance runs, helping runners of all levels achieve their goals.
Beyond just running, NKR fosters a strong sense of togetherness, encouraging teamwork, motivation, and respect for each other. Known for hosting unique events like Last Sunday of the Month Runs (LSoM) and Long Slow Distance (LSD) runs, the group has become a hub for aspiring and seasoned runners alike.
Carrying the spirit of “Veer Bahadur Runner Kaun? NKR NKR!,” the community continues to inspire people to embrace fitness and experience the joy of running.
The North Kolkata Runners Club is proud to run for Dakshini Prayash, an organization that believes every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream beyond their circumstances. For over three decades, Dakshini Prayash has been transforming the lives of children in the Madurdaha community of Kolkata through a holistic approach to development.
Their work goes far beyond academics. They focus on nurturing each child’s talents, health, emotional well-being, and personal growth, ensuring that they receive the support and encouragement needed to build a brighter future.
This year, we are coming together as a running community to raise funds for this meaningful cause. By supporting our run, you are helping provide:
Quality education
Nutritional and healthcare support
Skill development and talent enhancement
A safe and encouraging environment for vulnerable children
Your contribution can help a child dream bigger, aim higher, and step confidently toward a life full of possibilities.
We run so that every child at Dakshini Prayash can rise beyond limitations—and with your support, we can make that vision a reality.
Join us in this journey of hope, compassion, and empowerment.
Together, let’s make every step count.
