About Us
Atma Swabhiman,is a grassroot people-affected-by-leprosy-led organization dedicated to advocating for the rights, dignity, and empowerment of leprosy-affected individuals.The organization is committed to eradicate leprosy and remove stigma & discrimination involved with the people affected by leprosy.It was founded in 2009, With a mission to break the stigma surrounding leprosy, Atma Swabhiman enables individuals and families to lead healthy and productive lives through access to education, employment opportunities, and community-driven initiatives.
Our Appeal
Leprosy affects the body, but it cannot touch our souls. We are all created by the same Almighty God, who knows no discrimination. It is vital that we, too, extend our compassion and support to those affected by this disease.
In West Bengal and Jharkhand, we serve over 300 individuals living with leprosy, providing essential care for ulcers and support for the elderly. Additionally, we are committed to offering better education for more than 500 children in these communities, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.
We humbly request your generous support and contributions to help us rebuild the lives of those affected by leprosy. Together, we can make a significant difference, fostering hope and opportunity for these resilient individuals and their families.
