Our Appeal

YODAs

R3 Program (Rescue, Rehab, Release or Rehome)
Over 100 animals are abandoned or injured on the streets of Mumbai Navi Mumbai & Thane each month. Most of these animals get left as t they are without notice or treatment for days until the injury becomes detrimental or even fatal. In 2016, we set up our shelter in Khar West, Mumbai to efficiently attend to such animals in distress and give them prompt treatment and rehabilitation via best in class medical and behavioral rehabilitation services. With the R3 program, we ensure each animal is efficiently rehabilitated & released or rehomed within a span of 25 days. Each animal is provided with best medical care and is evaluated post treatment to decide if he/she is to be released or rehomed given the circumstances.

Tata Medical Center

The Indian Cancer Registry reveals that maximum kinds of specific cancers come from Eastern and North Eastern parts of India.Hence, Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, a Rs 350 Crores world class not-for- profit cancer specialty hospital was set up as a beacon of hope for this region in May 2011 with 183 beds.Due to the long waiting list of cancer patients needing specialized treatment especially the underprivileged, Tata Medical Center had moved for additional beds and facilities in the Phase II expansion project. The Phase II at a cost of Rs 260 Crores was added from Feb’19 with the help of many generous donors. The Phase 2 of the hospital now houses 254 more beds and additional radiotherapy and diagnostic departments (Total Bed Capacity: 437) was conceived. The creation of additional infrastructure has helped more and more patients to get the treatment without delay. This will require funds to help them for treatment and to meet the commitment of our responsibility of giving back to society.

We humbly appeal for your support through participation at Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, 2024 to raise donations as funding towards treatment of underprivileged cancer patients and helping us provide holistic care for many more patients entering our doors.

At LittleBigHelp India Trust, we address the unique challenges underprivileged women face in their personal lives, striving for a society where every woman lives with dignity, free from discrimination and violence.Women in urban slums confront systemic barriers, including societal norms that prioritize family over career and cultures that undervalue their contributions. Gender-based violence is a critical issue, with one in three women experiencing violence in their lifetime.

At LittleBigHelp, we take a holistic approach to women’s empowerment, offering technical training in skills like tailoring, healthcare, and beautician services, while educating women on their rights and entitlements. Our mission is to provide women with the tools to make informed choices, improve their health, and access economic opportunities. We emphasize the Six “S” for Women’s Empowerment: Shiksha (Education): Equipping women with knowledge and skills. Swasthya (Health): Promoting physical and mental well-being.
